Leadership Meeting at GM Baltimore Operations

Thanks to a $3 million grant, we have had the opportunity with target energy efficiency opportunities with Maryland manufacturers in the BGE service territory, in partnership with the Maryland Energy Administration (MEA).

By establishing “green teams,” comprised of representatives from various manufacturing organizations, the Regional Manufacturing Institute of Maryland (RMI) has been able to positively affect bottom lines by helping companies reduce their energy spending.

Recently, our successes were covered in a piece in The Baltimore Sun.

“Costs are such a key competitive issue that when we’re saving it through energy efficiency, we’re giving manufacturers a competitive advantage,” said Mike Galiazzo, president of RMI, to The Baltimore Sun. “And every manufacturer has money sitting on the table. Everyone.”
