Beginning on Wednesday, October 7 through Friday, October 16, the public will be invited to review all 2020 Maryland Champions‘ of Maryland Manufacturing stories and vote online for their favorite in each of the seven Champion story categories: Innovation, Workforce, Diversity & Inclusion, Fighting COVID-19, Energy Efficiency and Community Engagement.

Based on the voting, the two Champions in each of the seven categories that receive the most People’s Choice votes will be awarded the title of  “2020 Champions of MD Manufacturing People’s Choice Winners.” Winners will be announced on Wednesday, October 21 and recognized through press, email and social media announcements by RMI and our 12 Champions program partner organizations. Each month, starting in November and running through May 2021, RMI will host and promote a webinar featuring a discussion with the top two People’s Choice winners from one of the seven categories. This will give the business community, educators, students, legislators/policy makers and general public the opportunity to get to know these Champions and their efforts more intimately and gain a greater appreciation for their value to our state’s manufacturing industry. It’s great exposure for these Champions and just another way RMI will continue to shed a positive light on Maryland manufacturing!

Be sure your story or that of an individual, company, agency, organization or academic/training institution of your choice is in our Champions Directory by October 2nd in order for you or them to be included in the People’s Choice voting. Submit your story or theirs, or encourage them to submit their own story, using this online “Tell Us Your Story” form. There is no cost to submit a story or to be included in the People’s Choice voting.
